Program Information
Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) is an emerging interdisciplinary field that explores the opportunities, challenges and synergies between machine learning and scientific computations, with broad applications in science, engineering, and medicine. The First Workshop on Scientific Machine Learning for Differential Equations, to be held in Seoul and hosted by Dr. Myoungjoo Kang, Dr. Tan Bui-Thanh, Dr. Youngjoon Hong, Dr. Joonhyun La, and Dr. Shinhoo Kang, will focus on SciML approaches for forward problems, inverse problems, uncertainty quantification, and generative modeling governed by differential equations. The workshop will feature talks from leading experts in computational science and engineering, and data-driven machine learning, aiming to foster collaboration and identify key challenges and research directions in the development of SciML for differential equations.
Dates and Location
The First Workshop on Scientific Machine Learning for Differential Equations in Seoul will take place full day of March 25 and the morning of March 29, 2026, in Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS).
