Meet Mrs. Spencer:

Greetings! I am a proud 4th grade teacher at KMES. Along with Ms. Wagner, we are Team X! 4th grade is an exciting and challenging year centered around the 4 C’s of learning: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. 

I believe every child can find books they enjoy and that 4th grade is a wonderful time to develop lifelong reading habits. It is my goal to help students see themselves as "Wild Readers" (credit: Donalyn Miller) - people who dedicate time to read, choose books, share books with others, and are part of a vibrant reading community both at school and throughout their lives.

Some Favorites:

• Splendor: I love the beauty of MN in all seasons and enjoy being outdoors with my family.

• Stacks: I read lots of anime & fantasy book series and also like to check out books that are currently popular with 4th graders. 

• Snacks: When given the choice, I most often go for salty snacks like buttered or cheese popcorn & seasoned pretzels.

• Stores/ Spots: You can find me out & about at Trader Joe's, Target, Costco, Scheel's, Purple Goat, Potbelly, Hidden Pines, and Starbucks.

• Shows: One of my favorite things to do is see a live performance, whether music or theater.
