A pioneer in the isolation and molecular identification of clinical bacterial isolates and testing their drug resistance and virulence factors. Current research interests include the antimicrobial activity of clay minerals (Medical geo-microbiology) against clinical isolates and the medicinal properties of various novel synthetic organic compounds as well as natural products. Actively involved in applied research and development, training and post-graduate teaching in Medical Microbiology, Advanced Immunology and Molecular Biology.
