Kabbalat Shabbat Fridays at 7pm

Kabbalat Shabbat is available as a hybrid service in-person and on-line. Our services are always musical and engaging, ranging from KHL Shabbat Unplugged held the 3rd Friday of each month as well as more contemplative prayer experiences with Rabbi Emily and Shira. In person celebrations are held in the Church of the Holy Comforter Chapel (corner of W Seminary Ave and Bellona Ave, Lutherville, MD). Shabbat Morning at 10am

Engage in an interactive mixture of singing, and thoughtful discussion on Saturday mornings with prayer and Torah study.  The weekly Torah portion guides our explorations, questions, intentions--looking closely both at the Siddur and the Torah text for the week.  Worship is both in-person at Church of the Holy Comforter Chapel and on-line. 

A small kiddush is held after morning service with various programming after kiddush. Please bring a snack to share!

Contemplative Shabbat

Once a month we focus a portion of the service on meditative practices.  Check the calendar for updated Contemplative Shabbat scheduling.
