Concert Band

The Concert Band is for students who have progressed through their grade school/middle school instrumental music program who would like to perform in an instrumental music ensemble. This course emphasizes basic ensemble playing techniques, practice routines, rehearsal techniques, music history, and basic music theory. Concert Band performs in the Fall, Winter, Sacred, and Spring Concerts. In addition, the group will participate in Family Music Fest. Members of the group may also take part in the WSMA Solo Ensemble Festivals, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, Percussion Ensemble, and the Lutheran Vanguard of Wisconsin summer marching band. The Wind Symphony and Concert Band combine to form the Pep Band. This group is directed by Mrs. Hohenstein.

Wind Symphony

The Wind Symphony is for students who have either progressed through their grade school/middle school instrumental music program, or our Concert Band program and would like to perform in an advanced instrumental music ensemble. This course emphasizes ensemble playing techniques, practice routines, rehearsal techniques, music history, and music theory. The group performs in the Fall, Winter, Sacred, and Spring Concerts. In addition, the ensemble will participate in Family Music Fest.
