Rapid design and testing of modern engineering materials and structures is impossible without materials modeling methodologies. Structure-property relationships lie at the heart of multi-functional materials design. In this age of materials by design it is essential to impart knowledge and training in materials modeling as well as explore the frontiers of engineering materials through simulation based techniques.
At CMMD laboratory Our goal is to employ an integrated computational engineering approach which employ atomistic to continuum material models. By propagation of information from one length scale to the other integration is achieved. A wide variety of materials properties in mechanical, electronic and structural aspects can be predicted using these models.
