Mrs. Mattox loves middle school choir! She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in choral music education in 2001. As a choir director of 17 years, she is known for her passion for vocal production and musical expression, connecting to the hearts of children, and helping students strive for excellence within themselves. Her choirs earn Division one “Superior” ratings year after year. Prior to Klein, Mrs. Mattox taught middle school in both Round Rock and Leander ISD. She was the assistant director of the Conspirare Youth Choirs in Austin, TX and shared in experiences including singing at the nation’s White House, performing at the opening Gala of the Dell Children’s Hospital, performing for the Austin Children’s Shelter Gala, and advocating for fine arts and music at the Texas State Board of Education meeting, 2020.
She lives on a small farm with her husband and two sons ages seventeen and eight. Outside of her love of singing and children, she enjoys peaceful mornings reading on her back porch, playing guitar, watching her sons on stage and playing sports, Sunday church, and coffee runs at Starbucks.
