In addition to the basic study of Texas History, the expectation is that Pre AP Texas History classes will work at a more in-depth and rigorous level. High-level reading and writing skills are required. Strategies such as analyzing historical/primary source documents, free response questions, and quick writes will be used to demonstrate the student’s ability to assimilate information. These skills and more will help prepare students for AP classes in high school as well as the AP exams.
