Students in 6th grade, on-level math, start off the year extending their previous skills of multiplying and dividing rational numbers and being introduced to integers. They are also introduced to the building blocks of algebra. Students will use a variety of platforms to show mastery of existing and new knowledge. Both individual and group work are used frequently to reinforce new skills. Students take notes to help them process the new concept and practice the new skills. Chromebooks are used often to engage learners with game-like activities. Our classes are blocked meaning they will have math for 2 class periods consecutively.
