In 6th grade PreAP ELAR, students are expected to demonstrate reading, writing, and grammar skills with additional insight and depth of knowledge according to the focus TEKS identified for each nine weeks.  Students are pre-assessed on unit skills and are given the opportunity to demonstrate acquired skills over the entire unit study, each at their individual level.  Research is embedded within the content of each unit.
