In 6th grade On Level ELAR, students are expected to demonstrate mastery of reading, writing, and grammar skills according to the focus TEKS identified for each nine weeks.  Students are pre-assessed on unit skills and are given the opportunity to demonstrate acquired skills over the entire unit of study, each at their individual level.  Research is embedded within the content of each unit.
