In 8th grade Klein Prep (KP) science, students will cover topics including earth science, chemistry, physics and even a little life science. Students will learn about earth systems and how these systems work together. Students will investigate their world through practical experiences by working with partners and groups as well as individually on labs, hands on activities, projects, digital interactives and more. KP students are expected to move through the curriculum at a faster and more in-depth pace. These students will be differentiated for to encourage additional inquiry and additional hands-on experiences.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to understand how our world and the universe works. They will also understand how the periodic table of elements is organized and how these elements interact.
