Welcome to 8th grade U.S. History! We are excited to have you this school year. Over the duration of this course we will examine the first part of the history of our great country from 1607 to 1877, which spans our early settlements starting with Jamestown and stretches to Reconstruction after the Civil War. We will also take a look at our American government structure, helping students to familiarize themselves with the basic running and functions of our government and their responsibilities as citizens. Jennifer Hamilton

Jennifer Hamilton is the History Department Chairman, and she has been at Strack for 30 years. She enjoys working with 8th graders and loves teaching them about the history and government of our country! Hamilton's daughter was a 2017 graduate of KCHS. She lives in Spring with her husband Danny Hamilton and her spoiled black cat named "Rocky."

Andrea Elmore

Andrea Elmore has been teaching at Strack since 2009. She has had the privilege to teach all grades here at Strack but will admit that Government in 8th grade history holds a special place in her heart. She is a proud alumni of Klein ISD where she attended Wunderlich Intermediate and Klein Forest High School. After graduation she attended Baylor University; Sic’ Em Bears!

Megan Trent

Megan Trent is a proud graduate of Texas State University and is currently pursuing two masters degrees in History and Education.She is a history nut who loves to travel whenever possible. In her spare time she loves to read and watch movies. She is a product of Klein ISD as a proud alumni of Klein Collins. She lives with her husband and puppy dog Artemis who is way too smart for her own good.
