Northampton Counselor Hub

Welcome to the Northampton Elementary School Counselor page!

My name is Amy Alvis and I have the privilege of serving as your school counselor. This is my 10th year in education and my 2nd year as Northampton Counselor. Prior to becoming a school counselor I taught in high school and middle school. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Texas A&M University. My husband and I live in Klein and have one child, age 2. I look forward to working with all of our Colts and their families this year to ensure that each student is and feels successful while they are at Northampton.

** A note for the upcoming school year**

Dear Parents,

You likely have many questions about what this upcoming school year will bring, as well as how your child will do. The pandemic has disrupted the lives of everyone and caused a lot of fear and anxiety for many of us. Going back to school this fall will require schools and families to work together even more than before.

I can assure you that as the counselor of Northampton Elementary, my number one priority is to make your child feel valued and special as a member of our school community whether he/she will be enrolled in virtual school or back in the classroom. I am available to support you and your children as we embark on the 2020-21 school year.
