Technical Theatre 2
Technical Theatre 2 builds and expands on the technical skill and knowledge from Technical Theatre 1. Students have a lot more hands-on practical experience developing skills in all technical areas, working on productions in lighting, scenic construction, sound, costumes, makeup, and props. Students work on projects connected with our productions and lead teams to accomplish technical goals. We work a lot with power tools, paint, lighting instruments and control, and the creation and organization of props. Students also get to advance their knowledge of the design process through the practical application of shows. Some after school hours are required to work on crews for productions each semester.
Technical Theatre 3 & 4
This class is an advanced class in technical Theatre. Students in this class exercise their technical skills by leading crews in the area of Technical Theatre and work directly on projects contributing to our mainstage productions. Students also are given the responsibility of design in certain technical areas for productions. This is a class that needs approval to be in and has a requirement of afterschool hours for working on productions
Technical Theatre 2
It is a fun class if you like working behind the scenes and creating with a team to help make a show happen.
Technical Theatre 3 & 4
There is a lot of work involved but it is really rewarding to see our work onstage and say, "I did that!"
Technical Theatre 2
We alternate between academic lessons and follow with hands-on training in all areas of production.
Technical Theatre 3 & 4
Students implement and construct designs for stage productions leading other students to help create technical elements for shows. They also expand their experience creating designs for UIL competition.
