Photography is a foundation course that expands on the skills and concepts explored in Art 1. Studio experiences in the classroom will give students opportunities to explore a variety of photographic techniques and processes while further developing the student’s individual style with an emphasis on studio production. Training in camera and equipment operation will be provided. Each student will demonstrate progress over time by developing a body of original artwork and organizing a portfolio.
In a nutshell, students will learn how to use a camera to enhance their picture taking skills.
This class is very easy from leaning about the different types of cameras to finding a source of creativity. -Autumn
This class will teach you unique techniques of how to portray an amazing picture and how to use these techniques on your own. You will have weekly assignment about taking pictures for a certain topic. There are life changing opportunities to use your artwork in amazing competitions. -Cassandra
you learn a lot of cool things like learning how to use a film camera from like the 80s and getting to develop film. and you get to just take pictures of whatever you like, especially if your really passionate about it. -Eloyangel
Students will use the knowledge learned in art 1 by using digital and traditional cameras to create artworks.
