In my class, students are given the opportunity to work with preschool age children, ages 3 and 4 years old and their families. We learn to work in teaching groups and practice lesson planning to teach the preschoolers. Students are taught to lesson plan for handwriting, math, science, music, art and computer at the preschool level. They get to plan activities that encourage growth and development in our little students and promote brain growth. We also learn professionalism and work place skills that will help students in any working environment in the future.

Students who are enrolled in this class will work with preschool age children in teaching them lessons that they themselves have created. You will observe growth and development in preschool age children and be provided learning opportunities to enhance your professional career. We have preschool each week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and lesson plan on Friday and Monday. Students will work in teaching groups to create lessons together to teach to the preschoolers. You are given responsibilities to help you feel confident in the class and your professional skills. Some extra fun things you will get to participate in are Field Day, Holiday Parties, a Petting Zoo, daily recess and so much more!
