This program is designed to simulate an environment of employment in the automotive industry. The students will be expected to come to class, dressed appropriately for lab (or have a change of clothes) and they will go to work on vehicles in need of service. I have widened the scope of training in this class to accommodate many different areas of interest for a diverse learning environment. The class is taught with the expectation that this will be the career of choice for the graduating students. I offer engine building/machining training, automotive repair (common service) training, and limited collision repair training. The capstone achievement for the program for graduating students is for them to leave here with at least 1 but hopefully all 10 ASE Entry Level Certifications upon completion of the automotive program.
You can learn things in this class that you can do or use in the future instead of having to pay someone else to do it for you.
We service vehicles for faculty, students, and the public (limited)
