In Algebra 1, students will build on their math skills from previous years to set the foundation for all future math courses. In the first semester, students will build on their understanding of linear functions by exploring them using multiple representations including tables, graphs, equations, and real world situations. Then, in the 2nd semester, they add quadratic and exponential functions to their skill set.
