In this college course, students study a variety of texts that span the history of England. They apply all of the close reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills that have been learned up to this point in their education.
The purpose of this course is two-fold. First, it is meant to prepare students for the reading, research, writing, and analysis tasks that they will be expected to accomplish as they persue a college education. Second, this course provides an opportunity to get college credit while in high school. After finishing both semesters of this course, students will receive credit for TWO college English classes.
"This instructor includes many examples of the assignment that she wants you to complete. If you have any questions, she is very open to answering them in a clear and understanding manner."
"The instructor makes sure that all of her students understand the text that we've read in class."
" I like how the teacher allows us to discuss readings as a group often. It helps me understand things that I might have missed."
In this class we read, write, discuss, analyze, and, most importantly, THINK.
