Aquatic Science is a course that connects science and animals. In this class you get to have hands on experiences with animals and plants that you learn about in the curriculum. Learn about the world's oceans and rivers and discover amazing environments. Discover a wide range of knowledge from the bottom of the ocean floor to the mechanics of giant Tsunami waves. If you are interested in nature and want to see how it connects to science and various animal hobbies this is the course for you!

What happens in class?

20% of this course is spent on Hands on labs. Students get to take care of animals for the entire school year and learn about their specific environment and husbandry. The first semester course work covers Aquatic Science History, Oceanography, Water Chemistry, and Plate Tectonics. The second semester is focused on Marine Biology and Environmental Conservation of the Earth's oceans.
