AP Calculus

Teacher Voice

In AP Calculus, students will apply all the math skills they have learned in all previous math courses. During the course of the year, we will focus on the study of limits, derivatives, integration, and applications of each. Each unit of study will be taught using algebraic, graphical, and tabular methods to ensure the student has a complete understanding of the unit. By the end of the year, students should be prepared for the AP test. The AP test is scored on a scale of 1 – 5, and a 3, 4, or 5 usually earns college credit. Students should check with their university to determine scores that they will accept for credit.
