This course is a one year study of the U.S. from 1877 to the present. Within each unit the impact of geographic, political, economic, social, and international events will be considered. Emphasis will be placed on relating the effects of past events to the present. Students will use critical thinking skills to explain and apply methods historians use to interpret the past.
