History serves as a great explanation for all things why and how. We look to history for answers to explain our world and the present-day circumstances it exhibits. Through an examination of the past, we can better undertsand our present and even more so, prepare for the future.
"2020 was a historical year; one with many trials and tribulations, yet humanity has existed far longer and experienced even greater moments in the past. - Better Understand yourselves and others
- Build empathy by understanding different cultures, historical struggles, and difficult current events
- Understand the different groups, cultures, and identities that makeup and contribute to our global society

"This class is fun and engaging." Very different from the other classes."
What I loved about World History was meeting other students who had an interest in learning events of the past that helped shape our society today. Our teacher also dressed up as different characters which made the learning process fun - Alexandra
I like World History because it allows me to learn about past mistakes/events so that I can do my best to make sure that our generation doesn't follow that same path.

In order to help students understand history, they are often given opportunities to experience the past - this includes re-enactments in full costume, challenging games and investigations, and thorough research projects into the past. I often feel it is important that a course be entertaining and educational in order to have the best effect.
