Try Integrated Physics and Chemistry - IPC

If you enjoy hands-on science, enjoy working with group members, and enjoy exploring many varied topics, then Integrated Physics and Chemistry is for you. In this course, you will dive into the history of the atom, explore interactions between chemicals and elements, and create solutions and suspensions. You will get to see how stars generate their energy, and how we split the atom on Earth. You will even get to experiment on how elements decay. You will get the opportunity to present solutions to environmental issues that affect the whole world. All of this in the first semester.

If you are ready for more, then the second semester has you exploring the moving parts of your world in hands on and feet on activities showing the interactions of forces and kinematics as you compete and cooperate with your classmates. Explore your creativity as you construct your own rockets to test speed and acceleration. Learn to predict the interactions between planets and stars using the forces of the universe. You will get the chance to explore energy transformations by constructing roller coasters. Get to use methods of creating electrical circuits and choose the best circuits for a given situation.

But wait there's more. Would you like to examine sound, light, and the interaction of waves? Can sound really travel through a string in a cup phone? Experiment with waves to see how they can build each other up or destroy themselves. Find out if you can bend light to your will. You will get to investigate renewable energy and present ways everyone can use renewable energy to end humanities reliance on fossil fuels.
