Aquatic Science is a year long science course. Through course study and hands on work, students will gain an understanding of aquatic ecosystems (both fresh and saltwater), and the flora and fauna found in them. They will also learn about the geological formations that form the Earth’s oceans & rivers, and the effect these bodies of water have on our atmosphere and weather in conjunction with chemical cycles occurring in water environments. Students will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be good stewards of freshwater and marine environments.
"I'm most excited about getting my fish next semester" Luis
“If you like the ocean, take the class. It’s like what your learned in elementary school and junior high but more in depth. It’s easy if you pay attention and do the work. “
“Things you’ve learned in elementary and earlier come back and you apply it to the ocean and ocean ecosystems. Things like convection currents…”
