Does your career path involve taking Calculus? Research the coursework required for your degree plan and see if several semesters of Calculus will be in future?
If so, PreCalculus KP may be the place for you because PreCalculus is the preparation for Calculus. The study of PreCalculus deepens students’ mathematical understanding and fluency with algebra and trigonometry and extends their ability to make connections and apply concepts and procedures at higher levels. It gives students more practice with factoring and simplifying not so friendly expressions, revisits working with polynomial, exponential and logarithmic equations, and introduces them to the trig necessary to be successful in Calculus.
Students who do not consistently make 85 or above on tests without retesting in Algebra 2 KP should consider PreCalculus Advanced instead of PreCalculus KP because PreCalculus KP is very fast paced and requires a student to be dedicated and self-motivated.
