Principles of Human Services

Full-Year Course

Recommended Pre-Requisite: Be self-starting, organized, mature, and able to handle rigorous coursework.

Students will gain the knowledge and skills related to personal human development. The course will enable students to investigate careers in the human services career cluster, including early childhood development, family and community, mental health, and personal care services. Content includes decision making, positive relationships, child development, nutrition, and food production, finance, and personal grooming as it relates to personal and professional settings. Students will develop business plans, write an Employee Handbook, do hands-on activities, and be self-driven to complete numerous projects. There is a class fee.
