My name is Kim Barto. I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. I am thankful to be returning to the Northampton family and entering my 27th year of teaching. My goal is to partner with you to help your child become as successful as possible academically, socially, and emotionally. This school year will be filled with fun and exciting learning experiences for all children. I can't wait to meet our new first graders!

I love spending time with my family, working in our yard, and relaxing at the beach. I have 2 children, Alec (17 years old) and Kyler (14 years old). They both attend Klein schools and keep me busy!

I have lived all over the United States, graduating high school in North Carolina. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Early Childhood Education. (Go Tarheels!) I have taught PreK, Kindergarten, First Grade, and English as a Second Language (ESL). I LOVE working with children and watching them grow as learners.
