English 4

Teacher Voice

English IV is British literature that tells stories reflecting how European culture and history has influenced the development of the English language as well as life styles that have expanded over the last 1,000 years from Anglo-Saxon warrior societies to Medieval cast systems and modern democracies. These tales of Vikings, monsters, knights, tyrant monarchs, and sociopaths reflect mankind’s struggle with good and evil both internally and externally. Prepare for an exciting adventure into the past that will help you understand your present and future.

Student Voice

English IV is much more interesting than I thought it was going to be because “British literature” just sounded so boring, but the stories are amazing. It’s really my favorite class now, and I hate English. Plus, at the end of the year we are reading Paper Towns and completing our own memory books which I’m really looking forward to.
