As we close out the year, I just want to say that I am grateful for each of our students and the joy they bring to me on a daily basis. Even though our year was cut short, we had a great year full of fun activities in the gym. Please continue to set goals and stay active throughout the summer. Choose something you love to do or visit our webpage for ideas. Before we know it, we will be together again enjoying the things we love in P.E. Love and miss you all......... Mrs. Fosher

To our 5th graders...... I know you are off to do great things. Please stay in touch!!

What a year we've had! Although this isn't the way I would have liked to have said goodbye, we have to deal with the cards life deals us. I am so proud to say I was a Bengal for 3 years and will miss you all so much next year when I am at McDougle Elementary. I will be talking with Mrs. Fosher and Mrs. Strenger often to keep up with your progress. Please be the caring and dedicated students that I know you can be!

Always #RISEUP to any challenge and Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Reliable.

Until I see you again...Mrs. Aloisio

I never expected I would be saying goodbye and "have a great summer" on a webpage, and I'm so sad that we didn't get to finish the year at school. There are so many games and activities that we wanted to play with you all, but that will just have to wait until next time!

Please continue to stay active during the summer, whether it be doing some inside activities or playing outside. We will be together again soon, so be ready to get moving in the gym!

Fifth graders, I hope you have a wonderful sixth grade year! Please come back and see us soon so you can tell us how awesome junior high is and about all of your successes!

You all play such an important role in my life as a teacher and I am so grateful for each one of you!

Take care, Bengals! Miss you all so much!

Mrs. Strenger

Health Lesson:

Students were taught the importance of water for our bodies to stay hydrated. Feeling hungry? Drink water! It’s easy to confuse being hungry for being thirsty and the kids got to see a visual of how much sugar is in other drinks such as juices and sodas. By the time you “feel” thirsty, your body has lost 5 cups of water. Students are encouraged to drink water throughout the day.

We discussed dental health and the importance of brushing your teeth at least twice a day. Toothbrushes should be replaced every 3 months to keep bristles strong enough to clean teeth and to keep brushes germ free. Students should see a dentist every 6 months to check for cavities or other dental issues.
