Continue to Apply: You may have more applications to complete and you may have been waiting for the first senior grade marking period to assist with bringing up your GPA. If you want to apply before Winter Break remember that you need to request transcripts and letter of recommendations way in advance before December. Teachers and staff are on break as well.
Keep photocopies as you finish and send your applications and essays.
Have your high school send a transcript: If a second is needed for midyear or if are applying to another school.
Give the correct form to your counselor if the college wants to see second-semester grades.
FAFSA and Scholarships: It is not too late to complete the FAFSA or other financial forms. Be sure that you and your parent(s) have all of the appropriate paperwork needed to get started. Many more scholarships are coming available at this time. Check Naviance and other scholarships resources. Many scholarships will ask for the FAFSA to apply.
Connect with Colleges: Be sure, if you have already applied in the Fall that you follow up with each college that they have received all of your documents in order to make an admissions decision.
