My name is Ms. Chavez and I am going to be your AP Human Geography teacher this school year. This is going to be my 4th year teaching at KHHS and my 3rd year teaching AP Human Geography. I am so excited to be your teacher this year as we embark in this new journey of virtual teaching.
Fun fact about me is that I am a KIPPster myself. I started off in KIPP Academy MS in 5th grade and graduated from KHHS in 2011. I then went to Texas A&M University where I earned a B.A. in Political Science, and finally I earned a Masters in Teaching from Relay School of Education in 2019.
Being outdoors is my passion, which is why I am also the sponsor of The Woods Project Club at KHHS. We meet twice a month and have two weekend camping trips each semester. 10 students will also have the opportunity to take a two week summer backpacking trip through the mountains of California or Washington.
