Meet Irving Classroom Copy

March 29-April 2

Math: We are working on our district's "recovery math plans," which means spending a week or so in the 4th Grade Module 7 work.

ELA: We will be continuing our Hatchet novel study, including reading, vocabulary, and writing activities. There will be a novel test next week. Also, your child needs to be working for at least 45 minutes every week in their personalized math lessons in iReady.

S.S. - Check with Mrs. Tholin and your Studies Weekly work.

Science: We will continue our work with Mystery Science - Watery Planet this week. Remember to keep up with your interactive digital notebook for Watery Planet. There will be a test in early April.

We will still be going outside for recess most days, so make sure you dress for the changing weather.

I have shown students how to use Google Keep to keep an assignment checklist for their tasks and work, since we do not have an official assignment notebook. Students also know how to check their Google Calendar for upcoming work, and I showed them how to add their own reminders and note in the calendar to stay up-to-date with work, as well.

Please remember to check that your child's Chromebook is indeed charging every evening/night. It is much appreciated.

Power School Parent Portal - Keep track of your child's grades and assignments by logging in to Power School. Your User Name and password information will be sent home at the beginning of the school year. Only the main office can give you login and password information should you forget or lose it.

I will do my best to have grades and assignments updated each week. It is the student's responsibility to keep track of homework and activities on a daily basis.

PARENTS: Look at your child's Google Classroom every day to see what we did in class and keep track of upcoming activities, quizzes, tests, etc.
