Welcome to Kimbrough Therapy Services
Life can be a roller coaster, at times, and it is my goal to provide my clients with a comfortable and supportive environment conducive to insight, healing, and personal growth. Your role will be to identify goals that you would like to achieve during the course of therapy and be willing to examine any obstacles and strengths that will either hinder or help you move forward.
Meet Erin
I am a lifelong resident of South Louisiana. After attending Dutchtown High School, I received a BA in Anthropology from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and Master’s in Social Work from LSU in 2010. I spent two years in England working in child protection before returning home. Though I consider my background in working with children and families, I currently enjoy helping clients of all ages facilitate the change that they desire to better their own lives. In 2016, I received my LCSW and began working in clinical practice. I live in Baton Rouge with my husband, son, and doting dogs, Boz and Marc. In my spare time, I enjoy delving into a good book or practicing yoga.
Fees and Services
Currently, I accept private pay, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Humana insurance. Sessions are $100 for a 50 minute session and $75 for a 35 minute session. Distance therapy is offered (via HIPPA compliant internet face to face program) for $100 per 50 minute session. Fees are due at the time of service. Please, feel free to contact me with questions regarding fees.
Appropriateness for distance therapy services will be determined at initial consultation. Not all clients are suitable for distance therapy.
My approach to clients is eclectic because each client and situation is unique. I predominantly use cognitive behavioral therapy and a solutions focused approach. I believe that the individual knows best what can work for them. My role is as a collaborator to help you find the change and acceptance that will enable you move yourself forward. I also offer EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy.
I provide individual outpatient therapy to clients from ages 3 and older. My work with individuals covers a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, dual diagnosis, self esteem, behavioral issues, parenting, and stress management. Patients are seen by appointment only. Due to limitations of an outpatient setting, I am not able to immediately see emergency cases. If you are in crisis, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
