My Chemical Romance (MCR) is a well-known band with over millions of streams across hundreds of platforms. MCR started all the way back in the early 2000s as an underground rock band, and after disbanding in the early 2010s, it looks like they're coming back!
MCR has gone through a few members over the years, but typically consisted of the same few people: the lead singer Gerard Way, the bassist Mikey Way, the rhythm guitarist Frank Iero, and the lead guitarist Ray Toto. That group has always stayed the same, but the drummers are a different story. At least 3 drummers all stayed for less than 5 years in the band: Matt Pelissier, who started playing for the band in 2001 and ended up leaving in 2004; Bob Bryar, who played for them right where Matt, left off starting in 2004 and ending in 2010; and James Dewees, who played for one year right before the band broke up in 2012-2013. After MCR disbanded in 2013, they never announced a comeback and led people to think that they were never going to play again. This was later proven wrong with the 2022 Reunion Tour. This tour, and the upcoming tour this year, star Jarrod Alexander as the band's new (and hopefully last) drummer.
Recently on Twitter, MCR made an announcement about their new “Long Live the Black Parade” tour, which is going to travel all throughout the United States and some portions of Canada. Along with the tour announcement, the band released a video on November 13th on YouTube, releasing the official dates to the tour. Most of them take place in 2025.
Some fans are upset at how back in 2008, MCR announced that their tour “The Black Parade is Dead” would be their last performance ever. Some fans are also appalled by the fact that the newly announced tour could be a cash-grab show, and the prices of the concert tickets all seem to be incredibly pricey resellers. The venue is a football stadium with the nosebleeds starting at $600, and the most expensive seats would have to be in the midsection or box seats, which are around $1,500 per ticket.
