Niranjan K Ray is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at KIIT University Bhubaneswar, India. He received his PhD from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India. Recipient of IEEE Outstanding Service Award for 2022 from the IEEE Computer Society, Bio-inspired Computing STC. His current research interests include Distributed computing (MANET/WSN, Fog/Edge Computing) and the Internet of Things. He has more than 80 peer-reviewed research publications including IEEE Magazine and Transactions. He has edited three books by international publishers and published four patents to his credit. He has served on the Editorial Board of IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine (CEM), Section Editor of  SN Computer Science (Springer) journal and as guest editor to other reputed journals. He has served as PC Chair / Track Chair of several International IEEE and other Conferences. At present, he is serving as Chair IEEE Kolkata Section Consumer Technology Society Chapter, Secretary, Odisha IT Society (OITS) and EC member, IEEE Bhubaneswar Sub-section. He is a Senior member of IEEE.
