Weekly Recap

MMS Summer School

MMS Summer School gives students the opportunity for designated time and support with a teacher to reach proposed academic goals. Students propose summer learning goals and are connected with with an appropriate MA or MMS summer school staff member to complete these goals.

Here’s how MMS Summer School works:

  1. Teacher of incomplete course works with student to narrow down realistic goal(s)/content to work on during summer school; OR teacher/guidance/administration works with student to propose level 4 or skill-based work.
  2. Student submits signed proposal form to office by Wednesday, June 19th.
  3. Summer school staff coordinates initial meeting by contacting families.
  4. Initial meeting involves picking up laptop (if needed), setting goals, and selecting next meeting dates/times.
  5. Student progresses toward learning goals at home, then brings completed assignments/work to scheduled meetings with summer school staff.
