Junpyo Park   Kyung Hee University

Junpyo Park received BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mathematics from Kyungpook National University in 2005, 2007, and 2014, respectively. He also received another MS degree in Mathematics Education from Daegu Catholic University in 2008. He wrote his PhD dissertation on Evolutionary game of mobile species on spatially extended ecosystems under Younghae Do. From 2014 to 2015, he was a part-time instructor and a visiting researcher at the Institute for Mathematical Convergence at Kyungpook National University. From 2015 to 2021, he was a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). He joined Kyung Hee University in 2021 as an Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics.  

In January 2023, J. Park was named a Distinguished Referee in 2022 from EPL with the citation: the dedicated and fruitful referee works. In the same year, he also received the Journal Excellent Article Award from KSIAM (Korean Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics). In 2024, he received the Best Teaching Professor Award from the College of Applied Sciences of KHU.

J. Park served as a Guest Associate Editor in a section Mathematics of Computation and Data Science of Frontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from 2021 to 2022 and has served as a Review Editor of Interdisciplinary Physics in Frontiers in Physics from 2022. Since October 2023, he has been a Guest Editor of Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering.

J. Park's current research interests are Evolutionary Dynamics, Evolutionary Game Theory, Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos, Mathematical biology, Mathematical modeling, Complex Networks, and Machine Learning.
