We are Barnabas Safe & Sound – a Morpeth based young people’s charity working in the heart of your local community. Established in 2001, Barnabas Safe & Sound is a trusted support service in Northumberland, offering a range of projects for young people. 

We’re All About Young People - Our priority as a charity is to ensure young people are supported, that they have access to the right services, and are encouraged to unlock their potential through meaningful activity. We believe all young people should be embraced by their local community, so they can appreciate where they fit in society and value their own self-worth. We provide the following services to promote social, emotional, physical, and economic wellbeing amongst young people: 

Ambitious Youth is a Community Interest Company established this year by Barnabas Safe and Sound.  This is a development of the Barista Training project we delivered over the year where a group of young people learnt the skills to be Baristas and Event stewarding.  Via this training some of those young people have spent the summer working at local festivals and some are supporting the development of our cafe space as a social enterprise.

We are looking for more ambitious young people who want to join us in developing the social enterprise and gaining the training needed to get part time work.
