This is for you if you're thinking: "Ok, so I have a dual diagnosis of autism and ADHD, what now?"
An online, therapeutic community for individuals with an AuDHD diagnosis (self-diagnosis works). A truly validating space to get in touch with your authenticity, connect at depth, and practise honest, daring, and courageous relating. Supporting personal growth and community connection. This is a stim-friendly space, and accommodating of AuDHD support needs. (AuDHD refers to the co-occurrence of autism and ADHD.) We gently explore low-pressure creative and reflective activities. You can engage with your own level of social battery and spoons, so you won't leave you feeling exhausted afterwards. Plus, it's all online, so you don't even have to leave your home.
It's a supportive space to validate your needs and explore authentic joy, healing from harm, and the challenges of living in a neuronormative, disabling, and productivity-obsessed capitalist society. The group has a decolonial, liberation-based focus on uplifting your wellbeing.
Why take part? Some benefits might include:
Find ways to meet your needs for gentle connection and playful self development — through the grit and the grace
Find a group of people all rooting for you; this is a space to support your highs and lows
Getting back to You and what it means to shine; reconnect with your own values and inner sense of direction
This is a diversity-affirming space, where everyone’s individuality is respected.
Communal healing is ancient. Human beings have always gathered together in circles to share companionable support. Healing in community can be a very powerful experience as the care, compassion and insight is multiplied by everyone in attendance. Your authentic engagement and presence are not only beneficial for you, but also for other people in the group.
Thinking of joining? For everyone's safety and well-being, everyone attends a free, initial one-to-one chat to ensure that the approach will be a suitable match for you. If this isn't suitable, other resources may be suggested. This is not therapy, but a therapeutic peer-support community. It's okay if you're not familiar with group work, or if you've had lots of experience, simply get in touch and we can discuss whether this opportunity could be the right space for you.
Monday evenings 7 to 8.30 pm, online, once a month. £15 or pay what you can.
