There is a $0.05 late fee for every day over two weeks a student does not return a book (unless it is renewed, of course) up to a $5.00 maximum charge. Students are responsible for damages and/or replacing lost or destroyed books.

Students visit the library anytime they need to, sometimes with a class and sometimes on their own. Students are welcome anytime during the scheduled library day (7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) unless there are pre-scheduled classes and/or presenters. If the library is closed for any time, there will be an email sent out and/or a posted notice on the door.

There are periodic "amnesty" days for students to turn in books at no extra charge and to avoid late fees. There are also alternate ways for students to repay any fines and fees. If this applies to you, please see Ms. Westermeyer or email her at anna.westermeyer@keokukschools.org.
