This project focuses on connecting dance with the local water issues of Knox County. By dancing with the Kokosing, we can call to attention the issues of flooding and urbanization and encourage thoughtful city planning in order to minimize effect on the Kokosing and the surrounding rural areas. The culmination of this research and community outreach will be a performance on July 28. There will be different sections to the performance, including a movement choir and audience participation. We will be doing various workshops this month, free of cost and open to anyone. If you would like to participate in the performance, attend any of the listed workshops and sign up below. We do not anticipate any additional rehearsals before the performance except one immediately before the performance on the 28th. This is open to all ages, levels, and skills. So, if you have friends or family members or people you’d like to invite, please feel free to do so!
