Hola (: My name is Ivelise Hamlett and I have just completed my 7th year of teaching. I have taught 2nd grade for six years and 1st grade for one year. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2019 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I joined Teach Michigan's Early Career Educator fellowship in 2024 while simultaneously working on my LETRS training. I look forward to continuing my journey and growth as an educator by pursuing my masters degree in either leadership, policy, or literacy.
"Ivelise believes in the potential of her students demonstrating this by having a positive attitude towards students, supporting students, and encouraging students each and every day. Ivelise is a master of her content and works to build student confidence in the classroom. Her classroom is a place of joy, encouragement, equity, and safety for each student who walks through the door." - Kelly Hopkins, 2nd Grade Team
"Ivelise is a high impact teacher who meets the students where they are at. She continues to meet the needs of students and provides opportunities to show what they know and grow. Ivelise seeks opportunities to grow herself and continue to build her craft as a high impact teacher." - Joseph Marsiglia, Dean of Elementary Students
