Board Policy 04.61: With the principal’s approval, a school may receive any donations, including monetary donations and donations of real or personal property, for the benefit of the school or for the students of the school and hold and use it as requested. As required by state law, all grants, donations, and gifts to schools, departments, or the JCPS District must be accepted by the Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBE). ACCEPTED ITEMS: Each school has very unique needs and may or may not have the capacity to accept donated items. Please talk to the Academy Coach at your partner school with info on the item(s) you’d like to donate to determine if the donation is a good fit and can be used in a classroom.
TRANSPORTATION: Please note, we ask that donated item(s) be transported by your company to the school as we have limited ability for educators to leave school to pickup donations in their personal vehicles.
