Introduction:
The Michigan Read by Grade Three law has established that all K-3 grade teachers have initial and on-going professional development in various areas of reading development. The Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy Modules address all required areas of professional learning and provide a basis for solid, daily research-based literacy instruction in elementary classrooms.
This site provides opportunities for educators, parents, and community members to access to the most current professional learning in the area of reading while also earning SCECH credits for professional certificate renewal, if applicable.
