As Kent Center School's Home-School Liaison, I work closely with staff members and parents to help support students' social and emotional well-being both at school and at home. I provide short-term individual counseling for students as well as referrals to outside counseling agencies. In addition, I provide whole group social skills lessons through the use of the Courage to Care curriculum for grades 1 and 2, and the Second Step curriculum for grades 3 through 7. I also work with students in grades 6 through 8 on creating both short and long term academic and personal goals, as well as explore their inherent strengths and interests through a new, state-mandated program called Student Success Planning (SSP).

Finally, I serve as advisor for the Student Leadership Council, which consists of a group of student leaders who organize a variety of school and community-wide projects and events throughout the school year.

Check out my other pages for more information on my programs as well as resources that are offered with in the greater community.
