About Me
My name is Mohammad Nazmul Haque (commonly written as Md Nazmul Haque), and I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kent State University, specializing in Applied Mathematics.
I work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kent State University. In this role, I teach undergraduate math courses on my own, prepare lesson plans and materials, hold office hours to help students, grade assignments and exams, and support faculty when needed. This experience has strengthened my communication and classroom management skills while also deepening my own knowledge of mathematics.
Teaching has been very rewarding for me—I enjoy helping students understand difficult ideas and creating an environment where they feel confident and curious.
I earned both my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mathematics from Comilla University, Bangladesh, in 2021 and 2022, respectively. During my master's studies, I had the privilege of working under the supervision of Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahbub, focusing on mathematical modeling of underground natural resource systems. Our collaborative research culminated in an extended work that has been published in the Journal of Scientific Computing, titled "Two-grid Stabilized Lowest Equal-Order Finite Element Method for the Dual-Permeability-Stokes Fluid Flow Model," which appeared in the January 2025 issue.
