About Me
My name is Mohammad Nazmul Haque (commonly written as Md Nazmul Haque), and I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kent State University, specializing in Applied Mathematics.
I am also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kent State University, where I have the opportunity to combine my passion for teaching with my academic pursuits. In this role, I independently teach undergraduate mathematics courses, design lesson plans and instructional materials, hold regular office hours to support students, grade assignments and exams, and assist faculty with academic needs. These responsibilities have allowed me to develop strong communication and classroom management skills, while also reinforcing and deepening my own understanding of mathematics.
Teaching has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me, as I enjoy guiding students through challenging concepts and fostering an environment where they can grow in confidence and curiosity.
I earned both my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mathematics from Comilla University, Bangladesh, in 2021 and 2022, respectively. During my master's studies, I had the privilege of working under the supervision of Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahbub, focusing on mathematical modeling of underground natural resource systems. Our collaborative research culminated in an extended work that has been published in the Journal of Scientific Computing, titled "Two-grid Stabilized Lowest Equal-Order Finite Element Method for the Dual-Permeability-Stokes Fluid Flow Model," which appeared in the January 2025 issue.
