Welcome to my little corner of the Internet! I'm thrilled you're here. This website began in 2018 as a testament to my academic journey, a digital archive of my growth and exploration from my graduate studies in Journalism-Public Relations (Kent State University, 2018).Throughout my Master's program, I explored the intersection of social justice activism and public relations strategy, crafting my Master's thesis around the theme of "Public Relations' Role in Collective Action and Changemaking." This project was more than simply academic; it was a passion-fueled exploration of how communication can ignite change and empower communities.Simultaneously, I embarked on a hands-on experience as a Development Intern at Local Matters, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering food equity in central Ohio. My time there was marked by conducting social media audits, crafting strategic plans, and amplifying voices for those often unheard.Post-graduation, I stepped into the role of Communications Manager at Congregation Beth Tikvah, a vibrant community with over 1,200 members. There, I merged my expertise with my passion, shaping narratives, and fostering connections within the community. But my journey didn't begin there. With a foundation in English and women's studies from The Ohio State University, I've spent over a decade crafting compelling narratives that inspire, educate, and spark conversations. From my days as the lead copywriter at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus to my current endeavors, storytelling has been my north star.I've adapted this website in recent months (2024) to include some of my published work, which is linked just below my photo here.Beyond the titles and degrees, I'm a mother of two boys. Parenthood has honed my skills in communication and problem-solving, whether it's ensuring consistency in brand messaging or mastering the art of negotiation over the last Oreo.I find my greatest fulfillment when I can merge my professional expertise with my personal values, driving meaningful change and leaving a lasting impact on the communities I serve. So, welcome aboard this journey of storytelling, advocacy, and connection. Let's make some magic happen together.
