Combines basics components of physical fitness and and competitive team, and individual sports offered in 7th and 8th grade athletics. Students develop fundamental knowledge of volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track in Girl’s Pre-Athletics. Whereas, fundamentals of football, basketball, cross country, and track are offered for boy’s pre-athletics. Students will compete in team sports and condition for optimal performance regularly. There is a strong expectation that students enrolled in this course are preparing for 7th and 8th grade athletics.

Enable students to have a broad base of leisure activities. Emphasis is placed on lifetime activities as well as individual, dual, and team sports. Students will gain knowledge and understanding of physical fitness, history and rules of various sports, wellness behavior, and proper social conduct. In addition, students will exhibit increased coordination, agility, flexibility, endurance, balance, speed, and power.
